Youth For Christ: Love Comes
in All Colors |
|
Love Comes In All Colors
follows Youth For Christ's Grammy-nominated debut, Higher
(2000). Troy Sneed, who assembled the original group, is
best known as an assistant minister of music for the
Georgia Mass Choir. For this live recording, Sneed
re-formed the group, recruiting 350 singers aged 8 to 18.
The choir, which sings a number of styles well, is
impressive because of their youth and sheer size—but also
because they're multiethnic and interdenominational. The
13 tracks include "No, Not One," a smooth, updated
arrangement of the hymn that starts easy and expands into
a more traditional sounding song; and "I Won't Forget,"
which features meaty lead vocals from Rev. Milton Biggham
of Georgia Mass acclaim. Other tracks include "Colors," "I
Give You Praise," "Shine on Me," and "Jesus is the Light." |
Switchfoot: The Best
Yet |
|
For
Christian youth who want a little more rock in their
music, "The Best Yet" is Switchfoot's first greatest hits
compilation and it features 18 of the best songs from all
their albums. Over the course of 10 years, Switchfoot has
become one of the most successful and respected bands in
rock music, known for creating groundbreaking music that
is compelling for both its sound and presence, and
socially aware lyrics. With their breakthrough album The
Beautiful Letdown, Switchfoot's music resonated with a
broader audience and they saw two singles climb into the
Top 10 at Pop Radio. The CD includes such hits as "Meant
to Live," "Dare You to Move," "Stars," "Awakening," "Oh!
Gravity," and "Learning to Breathe." Also included are
several lesser-known favorites "Dirty Second Hands," "The
Shadow Proves the Sunshine," "Love Is the Movement," and
"Only Hope."

Casting Crowns: The Altar
and the Door |
|
After two Platinum-selling albums (Casting Crowns &
Lifesong), one Platinum and one Gold live project (Live
from Atlanta & Lifesong Live), numerous awards, and one of
the most successful headlining tours in the Christian
music industry, one might expect a different Casting
Crowns. Those who meet this exceptional group, however,
quickly realize they are still the same down-to-earth
people with ministry at the heart of what they do both on
the road, and in their local churches where each of the
members serve on-staff or as laypeople, including lead
singer/songwriter Mark Hall who still holds his post as
youth pastor at his home church. Casting Crowns third
album, "The Altar and The Door," draws on this first-hand
ministry experience with real people, real life struggle
and the faith that overcomes. The CD includes the mega
hits "Slow Fade" and "East to West."

Amy Grant: Greatest
Hits |

Amy Grant burst on the
Christian music scene in 1977 as a tender 17 year old,

a unique and fresh personality. Grant's popularity was
honestly gained through her sweet sincerity, sheer talent,
and her love of the Savior Jesus Christ. If there was
truly a pioneer of Christian music it would be Amy Grant!
Her newest release celebrates nearly 20 years of her
Christian and mainstream pop hits that explore our faith
in God and our relationships with one another. The CD
features hits like "El Shaddai," "Angels," "Baby Baby,"
"House of Love," "Takes A Little Time," "Good For Me,"
"Lead Me On," plus two new songs!
